Through his role as conductor and artistic director, Ronald programmes and aims to bring to life repertoire written in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries which is rarely heard in concert. His introductions from the stage are a key part of his mission to make music more accessible. Together with the New London Orchestra he has established a reputation for bringing neglected music back into the general repertory. He was awarded an OBE for services to music in the 2012 New Year’s Honours.

The beautiful Temple Church is steeped in the history of Christendom, this country and the foundation of English law. The famous Round Church was built to be London’s Jerusalem, consecrated in 1185 by the Knights Templar. It is located between the old river Fleet running under London and the River Thames.

It has excellent acoustics and is used for concerts, choral evenings and has even featured in films!

Drinks reception and supper

After the concert, a combined ticket only drinks and bowl supper reception will be hosted in the Parliament Chamber of the Inner Temple. This will be a chance to enter an Inner Sanctum of English law, mingle with guests, and taste a variety of savoury and sweet bowl food selected especially for this special occasion. We have selected a light supper to suit a summer evening, along with a wine and fruit punch. We will be in touch regarding allergies nearer the time.

Doors open at 8.15pm after a short walk from the Temple Church; carriages at 10.30pm

A combined concert & supper ticket £150

The Inner Temple is one of the oldest Gothic buildings in London, it was badly bombed during WW2 but has undergone extensive restoration recently to create a dynamic and exclusive venue for special events. How your support will help St Luke’s:

St Luke’s has been supporting clergy for more than 130 years and with your help we intend to continue to offer mental health and wellbeing support to clergy, their spouses and children into the future.

Our mental health clinical services and preventive programmes enable clergy to flourish in their ministry, to the benefit of their congregations and the wider community. The demand for our services grows each year as clergy realise the importance of mental health self care. To meet the demand St Luke’s urgently needs to raise additional funds and by supporting our event today you will help us reach more clergy and their families in the future – thank you.
