Our next group check-in sessions will take place on
Tuesday 13th October from 10am to 11.30am
Tuesday 17th November from 2pm – 3.30pm.
Our group check-in sessions are for qualified upervisors who are already actively working with clergy or pastoral supervisor trainees through the Advancing Clergy Reflection Programme. These sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams and will be facilitated by Professional Advisor, Revd Dr Guy Harrison and Jacqueline Ede or Ian McIntosh from St Luke’s.

Please note, these sessions aren’t paid but are an optional opportunity for you to reflect on your practice, share your thoughts, raise themes, address challenges collectively and ask any practical questions.

We are delighted to be offering a free online workshop for pastoral supervisors on the British Army Professional Supervision Project:
Moral Injury and Pastoral Supervision for Military Chaplains
Facilitated by Revd Nicola Frail BLE MBA M.Div. MTh CF
Wednesday 9th September 2026, 9.15am-12pm, Microsoft Teams
Nicola is the lead chaplain for moral injury in the RAChD, a member of the steering group of the International Centre for Moral Injury and honorary research fellow at Durham University. She has served as a chaplain in a variety of contexts including overseas operations and exercises. She currently serves as the senior chaplain for the Army in Scotland and is studying for a diploma in cross-professional supervision.
The aim of the workshop is to better equip supervisors to engage with military chaplains who are providing pastoral care or spiritual support to serving personnel experiencing moral distress or moral injury. The workshop will also cover support to military chaplains who may bring their own personal experience of exposure to potentially morally injurious events or environments to supervision.

Participatory Masterclass: Using Creative Techniques in Online Pastoral Supervision
Monday 16th November, 1.30pm – 4pm
Thursday 26th November, 10.00am – 12.30pm
We are delighted to announce that our next Masterclass sessions will be facilitated by Bob Whorton.
Bob has worked as a Methodist Minister in various church settings and then as a healthcare chaplain in high secure psychiatry and hospice. Between 2017 and 2022 he and his wife Sue ran a small centre for reflection and hospitality in rural France. He is now semi-retired, living in Fife, Scotland, where he continues to offer supervision, training supervision and helps with courses offered through Wesley House, Cambridge. As a pastoral supervisor Bob works with the supervisee’s creativity and imagination and is well qualified to provide a masterclass on the topic.
Please note this session will be participatory and we look forward to exploring and further developing skills together.

Our Boundaries training sessions have been very popular and we are now fully booked for 2026. You can add your name to the waiting list here and we will contact you if a space becomes available.
We are hoping to run some further sessions in early 2027 and will share some details later this year.
Facilitated by Revd Dr Guy Harrison, Professional Advisor for St Luke’s Advancing Clergy Reflection Programme, and Maureen King, Professional Co-ordinator for the British Army Supervision Project, this is an opportunity for both the well-versed and newbies to share wisdom and experience from practice.
Starting with a refresher in the basics and moving through an unfolding scenario that becomes increasingly advanced, St Luke’s wants to keep strengthening our community of practice by bringing you together for mutual, collaborative learning.
