Our 1st conference is now sold out!
Bringing together those who are with and for the clergy – leaders, stakeholders, academics and researchers – for this large-scale event
Introduction
Five years on from the Covenant for Clergy Care & Wellbeing, St Luke’s is pleased to announce our one-day conference, where we look to the future, helping you build upon your current work.
We aim to bring together wellbeing representatives from every diocese in the Church of England and from the Church in Wales and the Scottish Episcopal Church to share experiences, network and learn from each other.
Alongside keynote speakers, the day will also consist of different workshops providing you with:
- Valuable learning from the latest research
- Knowledge of our tools and training
- Networking opportunities
- Food for thought
The day has been curated with the needs of diocesan wellbeing leads, human resources personnel, researchers and all those interested in clergy mental health and wellbeing.

As well as being with his family, in his spare time +Richard enjoys contributing to his own wellbeing by riding his motorbike, walking, gardening and trying to find the hedgehogs in the beautiful Palace gardens.
Dr Adam Turner, National Head of Health and Wellbeing

Adam’s passion is caring for people who go on to care for others. Aligned to this, he leads on improving the health and wellbeing of healthcare staff nationally for NHS England. Adam has a rich variety of experience in health and wellbeing, personal resilience, HR and organisational development, leadership development, service improvement, education, and research, and has led a diversity of transformational portfolios at organisation, system and national levels. Why St Luke’s?
St Luke’s is uniquely positioned as the foremost charity specialising in the mental health and wellbeing of clergy. Independent from the Church but working across the Anglican community, we work with experts in the field from academia and practice, delivering exceptional programmes.
From our front-line work supporting clergy via preventative approaches and restorative services, we see themes and patterns emerging. From these we develop and pilot projects that build the evidence-base for what really helps clergy.
This will be a full day of exciting speakers, workshops, stalls and networking opportunities with lunch and refreshments provided.
