St Luke’s wants to be around to help as many clergy as we can – now and in the future. All our income relies on trusts and foundations, parish giving and donations from generous individuals like yourself. This means that gifts left in wills have a huge impact on the charity and the help we can give to clergy.
What difference can you make?
By leaving a gift in your will, you could transform the care we offer to the clergy and their families. Your gift can
- help to fund minor operations that have a big impact on an individual’s quality of life, including cataract removal or hernia treatment
- provide a priest with counselling sessions, hugely beneficial after a difficult time in their ministry
- provide an RPG for a group of clergy, giving them a supportive network that helps them in their ministry
Seeing clearly again
Roger suffered from cataracts in both eyes. As a result, he struggled with reading and driving, which was detrimental to his ministry. After contacting St Luke’s, he received a very thorough consultation, both before and after his surgeries. The surgery was a success and it completely remedied the problems Roger was facing.
St Luke’s has been a wonderful blessing to my wife and I over nearly 60 years of ministry. In 2018, I had both cataracts removed in my eyes. I was grateful for the excellence of the personal care and courtesy of all the staff involved; the professional skills of the surgeon and nurses, and the efficiency of the administration.Revd Roger Symon
Tom had been dealing with a painful hernia since 2015. He became very uncomfortable when standing to take services and when moving or lifting items. The NHS waiting list for an initial consultation was very long, so he decided to contact St Luke’s.
Within five weeks of contacting St Luke’s, I had had the operation and mostly recovered. The efficiency of selecting the consultant, outpatients’ appointment and the surgery was exemplary!Revd Tom Leary
